The Art Of Attracting Magic Into Your Life
Our soul longs for magic. Children love stories about magic and fairy tales. As one grows up, imagination and magic keep their place, but it is more and more easy to forget the “spells” they generate. Attracting magic into our life then becomes a vital need.
Stories about an invisible magical world are appealing to children and adults alike because they contain in their narration the ancient archetypes that we experience on the journey of our lives. These stories open our senses, wake them up, so that we can perceive the magic – simple and wonderful – that already surrounds us every day.
All over the world and throughout history have been written about fantastic beings and wonderful events that have surprised and inspired us, some even for thousands of years. Behind all these stories is our imagination, but also a lot of our hopes and fears.
We all need magic, and when we give it up, something is missing. However, the magic resides in all that surrounds us. To renounce it is to renounce a good part of ourselves and of our possibilities.
It is the difficult circumstances that seem to overwhelm us the most in this adult dynamic that resists magic so much. This dynamic from which the child who lies dormant in us hides so much: it is not that it is no longer fun, but it is distressing.
As adults, we often have to solve problems, to fight – or to protest – against the injustices of which we feel the victims. These are the circumstances we try to survive, and during that time we forget to look up. The good news is that it is possible to attract, or re-attract, magic. Creating a magical view of the smallest and most insignificant things in life is a mental state, and we all have the power to create our own “magic button”.
Your mind is amazingly powerful – more than you think – and with a little practice you can completely change your mindset. The point is that you too can catch all those magical moments that you have ceased to perceive by running after time which, unlike you, does not stop.
You cannot find beauty on the outside if you are not able to see it in yourself. If you are always looking for outside approval, you will be wasting precious time. A time in which you can dream about your next big project or develop a new ability that you want to learn.
When we believe in ourselves and our abilities, the possibilities become endless. We become creative beings, we dare to dream, we dare to grow up, we dare to share our visions and we lose the fear of being ridiculed for that.
It all starts with a dream, a vision or an idea. The difference between those who believe in themselves and those who don’t is that those who believe in themselves think that they can always go further, no matter how hard they are. This is when this sort of miracle happens and they are able to reach heights that no one thought they could reach.
We are the masters of our life. There are many different ways we can act and influence the circumstances in which you operate. The way we act will increasingly lead to a specific result.
Therefore, it is fundamental to know what state you are in when you start to act. Whether we act out of love, compassion or understanding, our actions will always involve magic, grace and power, and will yield good results. When you act out of love, you not only feel good, but you also inspire others to do the same. Love always attracts more love, overcoming the very material result of each act in itself.
But if your actions are ego-driven, whether they are based on mistrust, fear, suspicion or criticism, you will continue to attract the same patterns. You will attract the same type of people and situations sometimes: the ones that best fit, precisely, to this pattern.
It is time to change that. Do not be afraid. The magic awaits you around a corner, and the best part about it is that you can generate it yourself. In fact, we shell out a lot of the ingredients in the process to create it, now it’s up to us to attract the magic.
There is magic in many things around us, in the simple things that accompany us every day : the sunset, the starry sky, the smile of a child, the song of birds, the breeze that caresses your face, the rain that refreshes and nourishes life …
Magic is not a matter of the imagination. Seeing the magic in what surrounds us means recognizing and being grateful for the wonders that mark our existence. So, to find and attract magic, we must begin by thanking the world for this wonderful gift which we are already enjoying and which is reproduced with each beat of our heart: life. For the magic we are talking about is largely composed of breath, force and energy.
