A Lot Can Happen Outside, But In The End The Universe Is Deep Inside You

A lot can happen outside, but in the end the universe is deep inside you.

Happiness does not come with life: it must be conquered. The main requirement is found in the things that we really need to achieve it, and we can find them in our own universe.

We start from the premise that  humans are made to survive, not to be happy. We are programmed for the first thing; for the second, you have to do a little “hacking”. Anyone who wishes to enter into this challenge of happiness should know that the most important thing is the creation of a vital sense.

As José Luis Sampedro, Spanish writer, humanist and economist said, we are alive to live, to build ourselves, to achieve ourselves. The majority of us have already wondered why we are alive. Knowing how to answer this question will give meaning to our existence. A clean and authentic meaning.

Everything we see on the outside is just a reflection of our interior, what we think and feel. In a way, we carry within us the faults and virtues that we see in others. Even if we have a lot of doubts and questions, the majority of the answers are already in us because the universe which is inside our being is really interesting.

“What would you try to do if you knew failure is impossible?”

Caring for us brings peace to our universe

It may sound ironic, but  we are the only beings capable of disturbing ourselves, of allowing emotional earthquakes. The cause of our suffering is not outside but within us, in our way of facing pain.

Others can kill us physically, but spiritually we alone have the power to harm ourselves and impose order on ourselves. Even though it takes place in our own minds, this illusory war generates a series of emotional weights such as guilt, resentment, resentment, hatred and the desire for revenge.

The interpretations related to our emotional reactions are the ones that cause us to suffer and come into conflict with ourselves. We are, in the last resort, the ones who hurt us. This is why focusing on ourselves and taking charge of our emotions brings us closer to a deeper knowledge of our inner universe.

Ultimately, there is only one thing we can change in our life: ourselves. Everything else is illusory. We can hurt ourselves by wishing for a better world in which there is less injustice and more equality, but it is all beyond our control. On the other hand,  changing and improving our inner self is up to us alone: achieving this goal gives us unlimited peace  and a new way of dealing with situations.

“The best thing you can do for humanity is to be happy and learn to be at peace with yourself.”

-Sénèque-

To build a personal universe, we must show courage

Generalization poses a threat to us, as we then get lost in cities full of skyscrapers, with rules that are rarely said but often enforced. On many occasions, we avoid acting in line with our values to project a better image: this is one of the ways the system uses to dominate us. He offers us a “reward” in return: do this, as directed, and I will consider you.

This is how we end up taking care of everything except ourselves. From the car, the motorbike, something else; we spend our time doing automatic things when we could just live better.

Sometimes, depending on who we are with and where we are, we allow ourselves to be such and such a person. That is, we choose what we want to show from our universe and what we want to hide. This, in specific situations, can be adaptive. For example, this is what happens in a job search, in meetings, at work, but in the long run it can lead to a great dissonance with our “me”.

Perhaps the biggest challenge we face is finding ourselves,  connecting to our essence, and being more authentic, longer. But it is a challenge and not a threat: even if there are difficulties along the way, the feeling felt at each step will be a feeling of peace and recollection, the very one that tells us we are actors- and not mere appearances at the mercy of the currents generated by what surrounds us.

“Make sure you always welcome failure. Always say these few words: failure, I’m glad to see you, come in. This way you will never be afraid. ”
